Build up your Sim's relationship with their partner. If your Sim's relationship with their partner is too low, they'll get rejected for WooHoo. Have them talk, joke, and perform romantic interactions together until their Daily and Lifetime relationships are both at about 75 or higher. Pick a spot for them to WooHoo. In order for your Sim to get pregnant, they'll need to have somewhere to WooHoo.

Choose Try for Baby. Once your Sims have completed the action, you'll hear a lullaby chime play if your Sim has gotten pregnant. Your Sim won't always get pregnant the first try. If you don't hear the lullaby the first time, try again.

I have the ultimate collection but it is kind of glitchy, especially in build mode. The screen flickers but it goes away quickly. You do need proof of owning at least the base game. My advice is to go onto Ebay and buy a cheap used copy of the game.
